A brand new Video Board and Timing System were installed over last summer.  This could not have been done without everyone’s hard work, dedication and donations. Current and future students, faculty, swimmers and families will always be able to remember Jane and live with Pride and Purpose.

On Behalf of the Jane Caliendo Foundation committee we wanted to say thank you for everything you have done this year. Whether it was a donation or helping with an event or simply helping a neighbor, you made a difference.

This year has been a successful one with the Dedication of the new Jane Caliendo Aquatics Center at Sandburg.  Over the summer the new Aquatics Center received a donation of a new Video Board and Timing System. We had another successful 5K walk/run on a beautiful day. Donations have been generous all year and for that we Thank you.

Keep coming to our website for future updates on our annual 5K and donations opportunities. We will also be updating you on our scholarship winners; where they are and how they are living like Warriors.

Carl Sandburg’s Pool has officially been dedicated to Jane.

Jane’s spirit, encouragement and inspiration will forever be in the heart of Sandburg. Current students remember her and Future student will learn about her. She pushed her students to go the extra mile; to think outside the box. The new Aquatics Center reminds everyone one person can touch and change so many lives.

Because of you the Foundation was able to donation an new top of the line Video Board and Timing System for the Jane Caliendo Aquatics Center. Pictures are on our EVENTS page.

We just wanted to send out a THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the 2nd Annual Jane’s Warriors 5k Walk/Run.  Although it is a little late we did not  The day was gorgeous and filled with family and friends.   This year was another successful year and we couldn’t be more proud of the support and love shown.  If you haven’t already don’t forget to check your scores on itsracetime.com.  Just look under Recent Results for Jane’s Warriors 5k. We hope to see everyone again next year and keep supporting Jane Caliendo’s Foundation and the Sandburg community.

Mark your calendars!!!!   Our 2nd Annual 5K walk/run will be held on Sunday September 11th 2016.  It will start and end again at the 153rd street Metra Station.  Race will begin at 8:30 am with check in at 7:30 am.  SO start training, start stretching, get the dust off those shoes and LETS HAVE SOME FUN!!!!!

We are excited to open the registration for the First Annual Jane’s Warrior’s Fundraising 5K!

When: Sunday September 13, 2015 at 8:30am with bib pick-up @ 7:30am

Where: 153rd Street Metra Train Station at Centennial Park, Orland Park, Illinois

What does it benefit:  The Jane Caliendo Memorial Foundation hopes to raise funds to provide scholarships to Sandburg athletes as well as provide equipment needed to strengthen the aquatics program. The Jane Caliendo Memorial Foundation is a non-for-profit foundation which strives to provide resources to Carl Sandburg area aquatics and students so that more warriors with the Jane Caliendo spirit, pride and purpose can be fostered through high school and given the skills, resiliency and pride to make a difference in our community as adults.

Although there are many ways to we could honor Coach Jane’s warrior spirit, we want to focus on her unwavering dedication to the Sandburg Aquatics program through supporting scholarships for college level athletes and provide equipment that will foster the junior high and high school swimming experience.
