Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 5th annual 5K walk/run. While the weather wasn’t the best this event was the best one yet. With the community rally around the family and friends of Jane who you have really showed your support.
We want to give a special thank you to all of our sponsors. Without your support we would not be able to put on such a grand event. Thank you so very much.
Remember our sponsors and support them throughout the year.
The Jane Caliendo Memorial Foundation will once again pledge part of our net proceeds to the University of Chicago Medicine. More specifically, to the clinical research performed by Dr. Blase Polite. In appreciation for all that Dr. Polite did for Jane.
We have also given out numerous scholarships to many young adults from the Sandburg and St. Michael community. Look to our Sholarship winners to learn more about them and their goals to continue living in the spirit of Jane.
We are excited to have teams again this year! You can join an existing one, or form a new one during the registration process. This year, awards will be given out for the fastest team (this will be done through the top finishes in each age group on your team), the team with the most spirit and the loudest & proudest team. So gather your friends and family together and enjoy the morning!
Sandburg Athletes: Please join the team based on your Sandburg Team. If your sport is not listed already, please create a team! The Sandburg Athletic Team with the highest percentage of participants will win a pizza party (and bragging rights!).
Stick around after the race to see if you’ve won a raffle prize! We are excited to have gift cards and other prizes that will be raffled off by Bib Number.
In the past 4 years we have given out over 250 raffle prizes from local businesses!
